Plymouth Arts Centre’s Open Air Cinema is returning for 2018, offering audiences the opportunity to enjoy their favourite films in a series of iconic city locations. Since 2012, this much-loved feature on Plymouth’s summer calendar has visited spectacular sites across the waterfront city for a programme of film events through July, August and September.
With a mix of blockbusters, cult classics and good old sing-alongs, the films are carefully chosen to suit their unique locations, and dressing up is encouraged!

Standard Tickets: £8 Mt Edgcumbe and Royal William Yard, £9 Tinside Lido. VIP Tickets £17 (includes glass of prosecco, pack of Portlebay Popcorn and chair and blanket in the VIP area). All ticket holders to events at the Royal William Yard will receive a free packet of crisps courtesy of Burts Chips.
We have expanded our Open Air Cinema programme this year to incorporate an extra weekend at Tinside Lido, because the events are so popular and the venue is perfect. Meanwhile, we will be closing our building for the summer on June 29th. This is slightly earlier than in previous years, and will mean that booking for Open Air Cinema events will be online only after June 28th. All tickets purchased online for Open Air Cinema can be collected at the events, or printed at home. If you have issues with booking online, please call the Box Office on 01752 206114 or email info@plymouthartscinema.org and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Online booking fee: £1.50 per transaction. There is no online booking fee for Friends of Plymouth Arts Centre.
