Music, clubbing and pills. Human Traffic’s energy is contagious, genuine and an ode to the 90s clubbing scene.
This film follows five friends trying to escape their dull 9-5 jobs by journeying through a chemically induced weekend. The visuals are entrancing, psychedelic and fully encapsulate rave culture all accompanied by an electrifying soundtrack that includes an abundance of music that was integral to the 90s.
With a stand out performance from John Simm whose depiction of sexual anxieties is painfully realistic along with his perfectly delivered fourth wall breaks and constant chemistry with the other characters.
I love this film and it’s absolutely perfect.
“The weekend has landed, all that exists now is clubs, drugs, pubs and parties.”
