Total event running time: 2 hours (6pm-8pm)

A surfer's search for what is killing our seas leads him deep into the forest – and to an ancient truth: that the key to healing our seas lies on the land.
No Trees No Seas is a feature-length documentary revealing the hidden connections between trees and seas, and how bringing back our woodlands could be one of the most powerful things we can do to restore nature, both on land and at sea.
Presented by surfer and environmentalist Sam Bleakley, and directed by Lightbox Film Co. the film is part of the No Trees No Seas campaign. Driven by Plant One CIC, the campaign aims to create 500 hectares of ‘fish forests’ across Cornwall – species-rich, biodiverse woodlands that will feed and protect our oceans for generations to come.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Carl Rowlinson, Plant One Co Founder, Luke A'Bear, Sound Rivers Project Manager for the Westcountry Rivers Trust, and Zoe Smith, from the Westcountry Rivers Trust / Plymouth Tree People.
Screened in partnership with Plymouth Tree People as part of National Tree Week. For more National Tree Week events organised by Plymouth Tree People, click HERE.
The event will start with the screening of the short film ‘What's 1.5 Degrees to Me?’.
In this beautiful, intimate shadow puppetry film about climate science, an after school chat takes Danny and his mum to places they'd never imagined. Directed by Kate Stubbs, 11 mins. Age guidance: 9+. Watch the trailer HERE.
