Wicker (15)
Dir. Alex Huston Fischer, Eleanor Wilson, 2026, UK/US, 105 mins. Cast. Olivia Colman, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Dinklage.
Living on the fringes of a rigid, conservative medieval village an ostracized, smelly seaside fisherwoman (Olivia Colman) sarcastically asks the master basketmaker to craft a companion for her. When the basketmaker appears with the woven creation it unexpectedly comes to life as a soulful, extraordinarily devoted, and remarkably capable husband (Alexander Skarsgård). Previously unseen in the village before, the unlikely couple’s pure romance and the wicker man’s unique prowess spark profound jealousy, outrage, and chaos among the closed-minded townspeople—threatening the very fabric of village life.
