Relaxed Screening: The Sense of an Ending (15)

Relaxed Screening
Thursday 18th May 2017

In Relaxed Film screenings we understand that people may want to talk during the film, walk around or leave the cinema - the lights are left on low in the cinema to make that easier for you. Come early and enjoy a free hot drink and biscuits before the film!

Everyone is welcome to these screenings, but the cinema environment is subtly altered to be friendly for people living with Autism and Dementia and their family, friends and carers.

This is the much-anticipated adaptation of Julian Barnes's Booker-winning novel.
Tony, divorced and retired, leads a quiet life. One day, he learns that the mother of his university girlfriend, Veronica, left in her will a diary kept by his best friend, who dated Veronica after she and Tony parted ways. Tony's quest to recover the diary, now in Veronica’s possession, forces him to revisit his flawed recollections of his friends and of his younger self. A superbly well-crafted, intelligent and suspenseful meditation on ageing, memory and regret.

Dir. Ritesh Batra, UKUS, 2017. 108 mins.
Cast. Jim Broadbent, Harriet Walter, Charlotte Rampling, Michelle Dockery.

We have waived the £1.50 online booking fee for our Friends, as a thank you for supporting Plymouth Arts Centre. You can enjoy this and many other exclusive benefits by joining as a Friend.
