We have recently said goodbye to our Intern Juliet Middleton-Batts. Here are her highlights of her time with us.
I have really enjoyed my time at Plymouth Arts Centre and the three months have gone by so quickly.
The highlight was assisting with install for the Jerwood Drawing Prize show and learning about the various procedures associated with a touring exhibition. It was very exciting unpacking the work and seeing it in reality, and then being involved in the placing of each entry. The other unexpected highlight was helping with various children’s workshops including the Batter Street schools’ print studio – a great chance to interact with young creatives and have a good old play!
Jerwood Drawing Prize Exhibition
Although I have now said goodbye and thank you to everyone, I am not going very far (just around the corner in fact), as I am about to start a 3-month residency at the Batter Street Studio. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to develop a site-responsive body of work, which will culminate in a pop-up exhibition. Lost Senses’ will be held in the Batter Street studio on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st May and will form part of the Plymouth History Festival (see link below).
