Heather Phillipson’s TRUE TO SIZE is one of the Arts Council Collection’s 70th anniversary commissions. It is the mid-point of a busy year for the award-winning poet and artist who has had solo exhibitions this year at the Schirn in Frankfurt, Whitechapel Gallery, Frieze Projects in New York and the 32nd Sao Paolo Biennale. Film Review: The Daughter

The Daughter is a remake of the Henrik Ibsen play Wild Duck. First performed in 1884, Ibsen’s play tells the story of a secret that threatens to blow apart the lives of two families. Director and screenwriter Simon Stone (here making his directorial debut, but a fixture of the Sydney theatre scene) transports the action from Norway to a fictional logging town in Australia. The town’s economy is built on the foundation of a logging mill, owned by Henry (played by Geoffrey Rush). Florence Foster Jenkins is screening from 8th - 14th July For the second time this year, ‘legendary’ opera singer and socialite Florence Foster Jenkins’ life is the subject of a major feature film. French movie Marguerite was not a straight biopic, more a loosely inspired standalone film – though a rather good one. Film Review: Son of Saul

A German word that does not directly translate into English, ‘Sonderkommando’ was the name given to prisoners who were put to work in the crematoriums. Film Review: A Bigger Splash
